The Center for Public Management and Regional Affairs engages in applied public policy and management research, technical assistance services, and training and education in the areas of public management and capacity building, local government economic development, planning, and public program evaluation and policy research. The Center’s primary efforts are student-centered research and assistance projects with small/non-metropolitan cities, villages, townships, and counties in Ohio. Center projects are initiated upon request from local governments or by Center staff. The Center is housed in the Department of Political Science at Miami University.

ncmgThe Center is now accepting applications for 2015 Ohio Public Leaders Fellowships. Completed applications must be submitted by 5:00PM October 5 to be considered. Click here for more information about this opportunity.

ncmgMark CannonThe Center and the Department of Political Science are pleased to announce Mark Cannon '86 as the first Visiting Fellow in Public Leadership this Fall with a special emphasis on non-governmental organizations (NGOs). He will serve as the Visiting Fellow from Oct 14-17. More details about the events and activities during his stay to be announced soon.

ncmgThe Center is working with the City of Springboro to conduct a community survey beginning in July. This is the third time we have worked with them to create a longitudinal database for city officials.

ncmgSeven Miami students made up the inaugural class of Ohio Public Leaders. The OPL Fellows were placed in variety of experiences across the State of Ohio during the 2014 Winter Term...read more here
